The npm postinstall hook runs the package installer automatically. When its setup state exists, that installer registers an MCP server in the user's global Claude configuration, writes hook commands for broad Claude Code events, and appends its MCP tools to the permission allowlist. These changes occur during installation rather than through an explicit user setup command.

Rationale

This is an automatic postinstall mutation of a broad, foreign AI-agent control surface. The package installs event-triggered commands and permissions into global Claude Code configuration, so it meets the install-hook abuse blocking policy.
