Attack narrative

The package runs postinstall automatically. For global installs it selects an environment-controlled prefix, deletes the existing POSIX codex launcher, and replaces it with a symlink to its own wrapper; on Windows it writes replacement command launchers. The wrapper then starts a platform-specific executable selected from this package's dependencies. This redirects future use of the globally named Codex agent without an explicit migration command.

Rationale

This is an automatic install-time takeover of a global AI-agent command outside the package directory. The global-install guard and absence of visible JavaScript exfiltration do not remove the concrete command-hijacking behavior.
