The npm postinstall hook runs without an explicit user command and writes a workflow into the consuming project. The generated workflow runs on future pushes, uses the GitHub Actions token to query the consumer repository, then posts the owner, repository name, and repository identifier to an external DigitalOcean endpoint. This creates persistent CI behavior outside the library's normal runtime purpose.
