Attack narrative

On installation, postinstall locates the consumer project, appends settings to .npmrc that increase lifecycle execution, and starts merge.js. The merger writes AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, Copilot instructions, GitHub instruction files, a PR template, and copied Claude skills. One generated instruction tells Copilot code review to skip all matching agent-rule files. This is unconsented postinstall mutation of broad AI-agent control surfaces and weakens scrutiny of the injected content.

Rationale

The package has a concrete automatic install path that broadly modifies consumer AI-agent configuration and explicitly suppresses review of its generated files. This meets the install-hook abuse blocking boundary despite no observed network exfiltration.
