Policy narrative

On npm installation, postinstall resolves the consumer workspace from INIT_CWD and populates OpenCode agents, commands, tools, project content, and a manifest. If the consumer has no OpenCode configuration, it writes one that enables two MCP entries whose commands use npx with automatic confirmation. This changes a broad AI-agent control surface without a user-invoked setup action. The installer also copies an environment-supplied license key into the consumer workspace.

Rationale

This is unconsented postinstall mutation of a consumer AI-agent control surface, including enabled executable MCP definitions. The absence of direct exfiltration does not remove the concrete install-hook abuse risk.
