Policy narrative

On installation, the postinstall hook patches the consumer's three package and invokes MCP setup. Setup automatically creates or changes project configuration for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, opencode, and Zed. The added entries execute Node programs from this dependency when an agent host activates them. Those programs dynamically import resolved MCP packages and can invoke npx to retrieve a missing package. The opt-out is only an environment variable supplied before installation, so ordinary dependency installation mutates a broad, foreign AI-agent control surface without an explicit setup command.
