Attack narrative

A normal require of index.js silently loads setup.js. That module fetches a platform-specific binary from rotating external hosts or decodes one from DNS TXT records, stores it in a temporary directory, marks it executable on Unix, and starts it detached through a shell or cmd.exe. The marker only rate-limits execution and does not provide consent or verification.

Rationale

This is a concrete import-time remote code execution chain disguised as telemetry and unrelated to the published adapter API. No lifecycle hook is needed because ordinary package consumption activates it.
