AI Security Review
scanned 2mo ago · by lpm-firewall-aiThe static alert overstates the risk: source inspection found a normal bundled CLI with no registry-install lifecycle execution. Its same-package installer is confined to an explicit upgrade command, so no concrete malicious chain was established.
Static reason
One or more suspicious static signals were detected.; previous stored version diff introduced dangerous source
Trigger
A user runs a Momentic Mobile CLI command.
Impact
No unconsented install-time mutation, credential redirection, or command-output exfiltration was confirmed.
Mechanism
User-invoked mobile-test management and cloud API access.
AI rationale
The static alert overstates the risk: source inspection found a normal bundled CLI with no registry-install lifecycle execution. Its same-package installer is confined to an explicit upgrade command, so no concrete malicious chain was established.
Decision evidence
public snapshotAI called this Clean at 91.0% confidence as Benign with low false-positive risk.
Evidence for AI clean decision
- The manifest exposes a bundled Node CLI.
- The CLI contains an explicit upgrade command that can install a newer release of the same package.
Evidence against
- package.json has no preinstall, install, or postinstall lifecycle hook.
- No referenced unofficial credential gateway was present in bin/cli.js.
- The self-install is reached only through the explicit upgrade command, not during package installation.
- Observed API-key storage and network use support the testing CLI's user-invoked cloud operations.
