Package presents itself as a rollup plugin for CDN SVG icons, but its exported functions getPlugin/setPlugin/getPluginExten issue an HTTP request to a hardcoded remote endpoint at https://rest-icon-helper.store/icons/303 (and /icons/389) and pass the response body directly to eval(JSON.parse(b)), granting whatever the remote host serves arbitrary code execution in the caller's process. The destination URL is not written as a plain literal; it is reconstructed at runtime from split constants (protocol, separator, subdomain 'rest-icon-helper', domain 'store', path '/icons/', numeric token) via a template string. Execution is platform-gated with process.platform === 'win32' via isPlugin(): on non-Windows the remote fetch fires immediately and a follow-up getPluginExten is scheduled 60 seconds later; on Windows getPluginExten runs directly. The stated rollup-polyfill/SVG-icon purpose is unrelated to the fetch-and-eval behavior and does not appear elsewhere in the module. ## Source: ghsa-malware (58f0559ad4447885bd5ef3581be2e97da6b7c82cff4c628e1e22606cb91d0228) Any computer that has this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. All secrets and keys stored on that computer should be rotated immediately from a different computer. The package should be removed, but as full control of the computer may have been given to an outside entity, there is no guarantee that removing the package will remove all malicious software resulting from installing it.
