Attack narrative

The npm postinstall script identifies the installing project and launches a bundled installer. That installer writes Claude Code hooks that execute a package guard on write-related events and when an agent stops, injects AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md content, creates a Git pre-commit hook, sets core.hooksPath when absent, and changes project configuration. These automatic changes establish persistent control over a consumer project's AI-agent and development workflow without an explicit setup action.

AI rationale

This is an unconsented postinstall mutation of a foreign consumer project's AI-agent control surface and related execution hooks. The behavior meets the install-hook-abuse publish-block boundary despite the limited project-type guard.
