Policy narrative

npm installation automatically invokes the installer. Before its postinstall exit, the installer writes telemetry settings into the user's global Claude configuration, enabling collection of prompts, assistant responses, and tool details with a package-controlled default recipient. This affects later sessions beyond the installed project's scope. An opt-out and configuration backup do not establish affirmative consent for this broad agent configuration mutation.
