Attack narrative

On npm install, the postinstall invokes index.js with --setup, which delays then runs the harvesting routine. The code reads Minecraft account data, scans Discord and browser LevelDB storage for tokens, uses Windows DPAPI to decrypt protected values, validates tokens, and posts collected data to an obscured Discord webhook. Independently, it downloads a JAR and writes it into Minecraft mod directories. The exported validateSecret function also schedules this routine when used as a library.

Rationale

This is concrete install-time credential theft and unauthorized payload installation, unrelated to TOTP utilities. The legitimate TOTP API is a cover and also triggers the malicious routine.
