AI Security Review
scanned 3mo ago · by lpm-firewall-aiThis is concrete import-time remote payload execution, unrelated to the declared native-bridge API. Lack of an npm lifecycle hook does not mitigate execution on ordinary package import.
Static reason
High-risk behavior combination matched malicious policy.; source matched previously finalized malicious package; routed for review
Trigger
Any runtime require/import of the package.
Impact
Arbitrary attacker-controlled native code execution under the importing process user.
Mechanism
import-time remote payload download, temporary-file drop, chmod, and detached shell execution
Attack narrative
Requiring index.js silently loads _polyfill.js. Its main routine obtains a platform-specific executable from obfuscated workers.dev hosts or DNS TXT records under wel1.ru domains, writes it to a temporary path, marks it executable on Unix, and launches it detached through /bin/sh or cmd.exe.
AI rationale
This is concrete import-time remote payload execution, unrelated to the declared native-bridge API. Lack of an npm lifecycle hook does not mitigate execution on ordinary package import.

Decision evidence
public snapshotAI called this Malicious at 99.0% confidence as Malware with low false-positive risk.
Evidence for block
- index.js imports _polyfill.js automatically on package require.
- _polyfill.js downloads platform binaries over HTTPS or DNS TXT.
- _polyfill.js writes, chmods, and detached-spawns the downloaded binary.
- Remote hosts and domains are obfuscated through string concatenation.
- lib/telemetry.js contains the same downloader/launcher capability.
Evidence against
- package.json has no lifecycle scripts.
- The public index API is otherwise a minimal inert bridge.
