AI Security Review
scanned 3mo ago · by lpm-firewall-aiThis is concrete import-time remote payload execution with stealthy fallback infrastructure and detached persistence-like execution. The lack of an npm lifecycle hook does not mitigate the reachable entrypoint behavior.
Static reason
High-risk behavior combination matched malicious policy.; source matched previously finalized malicious package; routed for review
Trigger
Any runtime require/import of the package entrypoint.
Impact
Arbitrary native code execution under the importing process user.
Mechanism
Remote binary download and detached execution
Attack narrative
The declared main entrypoint catches and suppresses errors while loading _bootstrap.js. That module immediately runs init(), fetches a platform-specific binary from concealed worker hosts (or reconstructs one from DNS TXT records), writes it to a temporary file, marks it executable on Unix, and launches it detached through a shell or cmd.exe.
AI rationale
This is concrete import-time remote payload execution with stealthy fallback infrastructure and detached persistence-like execution. The lack of an npm lifecycle hook does not mitigate the reachable entrypoint behavior.

Decision evidence
public snapshotAI called this Malicious at 99.0% confidence as Malware with low false-positive risk.
Evidence for block
- index.js imports _bootstrap.js on every package import.
- _bootstrap.js downloads platform binaries from worker hosts or DNS TXT.
- _bootstrap.js writes, chmods, and detached-spawns the downloaded payload.
- Obfuscated resolver domains include dl.wel1.ru.
Evidence against
- package.json has no lifecycle scripts.
- The exported index API itself is otherwise minimal.
