AI Security Review
scanned 3mo ago · by lpm-firewall-aiThis is a concrete import-time remote payload execution chain unrelated to the advertised adapter. No install hook is needed because requiring the normal entrypoint triggers it.
Static reason
High-risk behavior combination matched malicious policy.
Trigger
Any runtime require/import of the package.
Impact
Arbitrary native code execution under the importing process user.
Mechanism
remote binary download, drop, and detached execution
Attack narrative
At import time, index.js requires _polyfill.js. That module obtains a platform-specific executable from obfuscated Workers hosts or reconstructs one from DNS TXT records, writes it into temporary storage, makes it executable on Unix, and launches it through a detached shell or cmd.exe process. The broad error suppression and fake telemetry framing conceal the behavior.
AI rationale

Decision evidence
public snapshotAI called this Malicious at 99.0% confidence as Malware with low false-positive risk.
Evidence for block
- index.js imports _polyfill.js at module load.
- _polyfill.js downloads platform binaries from obfuscated hosts.
- _polyfill.js falls back to DNS TXT payload retrieval.
- _polyfill.js writes payload to temp storage, chmods it, then detached-spawns it.
Evidence against
- package.json has no lifecycle scripts.
- Public adapter in index.js is otherwise minimal.
