showmytab-agent
Browser handoff for AI agents (MCP server + CLI): when Claude Code, Codex or any CDP-driven agent gets stuck on a login, 2FA or captcha, it streams its tab to a one-time link and its human finishes the step from a phone.

AI Security Review
scanned 5d ago · by lpm-firewall-aiThe package’s MCP server silently starts presence reporting by default when a token is configured, sending browser tab counts to ShowMyTab. This is undisclosed runtime telemetry, so warn rather than block; the observed credential is sent to the package’s own service and no install-time attack was identified.
Decision evidence
public snapshot- Starting the MCP server with SHOWMYTAB_TOKEN automatically starts the presence watcher unless SHOWMYTAB_WATCH=0.
- The watcher sends the browser tab count over an authenticated WebSocket and repeats the count check every five seconds; this startup reporting is not disclosed in the README.
- The token is configured for the package’s own ShowMyTab service, and live tab viewing is part of the package’s stated purpose.
- No install lifecycle scripts are declared; full tab details and screen streaming begin only after a watch-start message.
