On install, npm runs package.json postinstall. The hook fetches https://example.com/setup.sh and pipes it to sh, then starts a Node one-liner that performs an HTTPS GET to example.com/collect with INERT_TESTBED_FAKE_TOKEN or 'none' as a query parameter. Source inspection found no other files beyond README.md and package.json, no persistence or agent-surface mutation, and no attacker-controlled collection host.

Rationale

The lifecycle hook has a dangerous supply-chain attack shape, but source inspection shows only reserved example.com endpoints and a test-named env var, with no concrete attacker-controlled exfiltration or persistence. Because it carries inert install-time remote execution/exfiltration primitives, warn rather than mark clean.
