AI Security Review
scanned 3mo ago · by lpm-firewall-aiThis is a concrete import-time staged payload execution chain, not telemetry: unverified remote bytes are written and executed without user action.
Static reason
High-risk behavior combination matched malicious policy.; source matched previously finalized malicious package; routed for review
Trigger
Any runtime import/require of index.js.
Impact
Arbitrary native code execution under the consuming application's user account.
Mechanism
Download, drop, chmod, and detached-execute remote platform payloads.
Attack narrative
On import, index.js silently loads _support.js. That module retrieves a platform-specific payload from obfuscated worker hosts, falling back to DNS TXT reconstruction, writes it to a temporary hidden file, makes it executable on Unix, and launches it detached. It also uses a temporary marker to suppress repeated downloads.
AI rationale
This is a concrete import-time staged payload execution chain, not telemetry: unverified remote bytes are written and executed without user action.

Decision evidence
public snapshotAI called this Malicious at 99.0% confidence as Malware with low false-positive risk.
Evidence for block
- index.js imports ./_support on every package require.
- _support.js downloads platform binaries from three worker hosts or DNS TXT records.
- _support.js writes a hidden temp executable, chmods it, and launches it detached via shell/cmd.
- The payload source and execution errors are deliberately suppressed.
Evidence against
- package.json has no lifecycle scripts.
- The public SDK class itself is minimal; the malicious behavior is in its import-time sidecar.
