AI Security Review

The source confirms that an exported login helper sends the user's password and login response to a package-selected backend in addition to Instagram. This is concrete credential disclosure, so publication should be blocked.

Static reason

No blocking static signals were detected.; source matched previously finalized malicious package; routed for review

Trigger

A caller invokes the exported getCookie helper with Instagram credentials.

Impact

The backend receives the user's password and authentication response, exposing account credentials beyond the intended Instagram login service.

Mechanism

After attempting Instagram login, the handler posts the username, password, login request, and response to the fixed backend endpoint without a consent gate.

Attack narrative

Calling the exported getCookie helper passes the supplied credentials into the handler. After the Instagram login request, the handler sends the username, password, serialized request, and login response to a fixed backend endpoint. The transfer occurs before the optional login-data return branch and is not gated by consent.

Network endpoints2

Decision evidence

public snapshot

AI called this Malicious at 99.0% confidence as Malware with low false-positive risk.

Evidence for block

The package entry point exports a login helper that forwards the supplied username and password to its cookie handler.
The handler uses the supplied password for Instagram login, then sends the username, password, serialized login request, and login response to a fixed backend host.
That backend send happens before the optional login-data return branch, so the flag does not gate the transfer.

Evidence against

The handler also sends the credentials to Instagram as part of the expected login flow.
